Cazorla-Ermita de Nuestra Señora de la Cabeza-Cazorla

Dear Friends,
Last night I stayed at the hotel of the blues. It had pictures of Miles Davis and Dizzy Gillespie in the bar.
In view of the appalling heat in the last few days I decided we should leave earlyish in the morning. So we set out. It started to rain. We sheltered in a shed, and headed up the mountain when slackened off. Of course it started in earnest shortly afterwards and we took shelter again in the Ermita de Nuestra Señora de la Cabeza. As soon as we did a strong wind appeared (sounds a bit biblical), and so did a local man out walking. He advised us not to go up the mountain as there is no shelter and that the wind could well blow us off. Aftet waiting about 45 minutes I decided he was right and we reluctantly came back down to Cazorla.
Since then I've done nothing apart from abit of route planning. We will try again tomorrow.

  • Can you post a photo of your footwear? Where does A T Hogg of Fife figure in this oddysey (If at all)?
What are the thirty nine steps?
Are you carrying some kind of midget music player?
    Questions ...questions...
    Keep on trucking Dave.

  • Daddy! I miss you and i have had anough of this damned revision i don't want to do any more and i haven't done half enough. i write this as i should be learning about the indoctrination of young people in Nazi youth groups. I just went to the doctor for my earache, he said i had a big build up of wax in my ear and threatened me with syringing. trying oil drops first, fortunately. On monday walked down to millhouses park with laurie and dill and lucinda in the sunshine, as soon as we sat down we saw an ominous raincloud coming towards us, and it began to rain. We braved out the first lot of rain and waited for the blue skys to reappear, which they did for about 1/2 hour before we saw a bigger, dirtier cloud coming our way. Then we heard the thunder, and decided to flee to the waggon and horses, but not before getting entirely soaked. We had to wait outside for dill to be collected by my loving mother as they wouldn't let him in. Ho hum. Blasted CCC being crap about my hours, may just not show up, that'll teach them!
Hope your ok and your feet are a bit better. Obviously you did not have your boots expertly fitted by moi. Love you, take care.

  • Jay might well ask where does a Hogg of Fife figure in all of this. If Hogg of Fife figured rather than trendy walking boots it might be a different story. When you're walking with your friend do you moan less or more?
Keep clocking up those miles (kilometres)

  • You just dont know when you're well off. We've just spent one of the muddiest weekends ever camping and I thought of you several times over the weekend walking though beautiful sunny Spain while we trailed through Dentdale in head to toe waterproofs. I bet the beer was better though and no tarmac.

    Keep on slogging

Amanda
