Puebla de Don Fadrique-Canada de la Cruz

Dear Friends,
Today I walked over the border from Andalucia to Murcia. It was an
inauspicious boundary between two fields, but there was a stone erected by
the walking committee so I knew it was the right place. It was a
surprisingly emotional moment. I've walked 770km across the whole of
Andalucia. I'm pretty pleased with myself.
This evenng I am in a casa rural in Canada de la Cruz, with a german couple
who, amazingly, have done the southern route from Tarifa to here in almost
exactly the same time that I've done the northern route. They are taking
six months off to do the whole walk to the Pyrenees, and then on to
Santiago de Compostela. That puts me in my place.

Maybe you could do the section between Caravaca and the Pyrenees next year? Or start thinking about taking 6 months off rather than 6 weeks? Come to think of it, I could fancy that myself...If I start training now what do you think the chances are of me getting fit enough to join you?

Hello Daddy, glad that you are almost finished and i will see you soon. I am back on Sunday evening after you from Sheila and Laurie's, so i can get nice and rested for my exam. And also so you can wish me good luck. I have been looking for flights to valencia and slovenia for the summer, they are soooo expensive!!!
anyway, i will see you on sunday evening, much looking forward to it, especially having a sane person other than myself in the house after such a long time.

Clearly our place is at your feet (albeit with nose pegs!!); 481.25 miles is some walk,Dave, so I assume it is only one way, not return:-)
Safe journey home.

David - hardly seems like 5 minutes since we were seeing you off on your camino with a drink in The Bath.
I have enjoyed following your (pilgrim's) progress - and trust that you arrive safe at your 'desired country' (despite the earlier slough of despond).
